I love subscription boxes. So after reading all the online “professional” reviews, I went for Allure since Birch is so/so (but has TOP customer service) and FabFitFun only comes 4x a year. I never received my January box, nor did many others, yet they advertised for people to sign up and get it right up until February. I emailed them a polite message and heard nothing back. Finally, I tried to cancel my subscription online, and their website has “error messages” for every time you try to perform that action on your account. You have to call. The person I spoke to today assured me that I would be given a refund in 10 business days to my debit card. If it doesn’t happen, I WILL be going through the bank, since it appears that a number of individuals are not receiving their money. Allure was poorly prepared for this subscription service.
Successful subscription-box companies, including Birchbox, Dollar Shave Club and Stitch Fix, have taken a “customer-first approach,” said Tien Tzuo, founder and CEO of Zuora, a software company specializing in subscription businesses, in an email. These companies have also created “fun, compelling subscription experiences that get smarter and smarter over time.” Part of that, Tzuo said, was the importance of a consumer brand knowing and understanding their customer.
While ROC does contain retinoids and AHAs, the two most important anti-wrinkle ingredients, it’s missing sodium hyaluronate, our favorite moisturizing ingredient. An easy work-around is to add a face moisturizer to your routine — preferably one that does contain sodium hyaluronate. (Both our top picks for best face moisturizer feature it, if you need a recommendation.)

Time flies when you’re having fun, but you certainly don’t want your skin to show that. Whether you skipped using SPF one too many times, had difficulty finding time to protect skin from pollutants, or have simply developed lines as you’ve gotten older, you might be on the hunt for a way to reverse these signs of aging, or at the very least diminish their appearance.
While many anti-aging creams focus exclusively on reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, this Retinol Moisturizer Cream by Baebody does more. In addition to combatting fine lines and deep wrinkles, this anti-wrinkle cream also tackles uneven skin tones, discoloration, and spots! By treating all signs of aging (as opposed to just fine lines or wrinkles), Baebody’s Retinol Moisturizer Cream ensures a healthy, youthful glow without the need for multiple products.
I am a subscriber to It cosmetics, I like it because the makeup itself is light and provides full coverage without caking and it looks fresh all day and I have never heard of the other listed makeup boxes. I like that I can choose how many items I want and which items I receive and pay for it over 3 months. I also like that I know what I am getting and can order what I want or need, that they are also coming out with new products and expanding the line so you need to check with the website if you need or want something else. But the price is a little high, and they do not have online ordering to change and update what you receive. You have to call them but the customer service people were very knowledgeable, professional and accommodating. They say you can cancel at any time.
At the most basic level, Retinoids are a class of chemicals that help promote collagen production. Usually applied topically or taken orally, Retinoids and Retinol Creams help to stimulate your body’s natural production of collagen to reverse the signs of aging that often accompany collagen loss. Chemically, Retinoids are chemically related to vitamins (usually Vitamin A), which have been found to promote collagen production.
Retinoids remain one of the tried-and-true ingredients worth incorporating into your p.m. routine (they can be rendered inactive by the sun, making it important to reserve them for the overnight hours). This treatment marks the first time adapalene, a type of retinoid previously available by prescription only, has been available OTC. Its collagen-boosting benefits make it choice for smoothing wrinkles, while its skin-clearing benefits make it a good choice for clearing pimples. "It's highly effective in keeping pores open and minimizing breakouts, and is better tolerated than most retinoids," points out Dendy Engelman, M.D., a board-certified dermatologist in New York City.
Soothe your eyes with something cold.[1] You've probably heard that placing cucumbers over your eyes will help reduce bags, but it's actually the cool temperature that soothes the area. Cucumbers happen to be the perfect shape, size and texture to treat under-eye bags, so go ahead and slice one up - just make sure it's been chilling in the refrigerator beforehand.

Salt is most often linked to high blood pressure, but did you know that all that sodium can cause fluid retention and lead to puffiness under the eyes? If you use salt, use pure Himalayan sea salt, but only a little bit. Avoid high salty foods, like pizza and some soups. Opt for fresh vegetables, in particular celery, which can help curb your desire for salt!
I signed up on Dec 17, money came out of my account on Dec 18, but I still have no box. I haven’t’ even been charged for January yet and I’ve heard not a peep from Allure. I’ll be calling to cancel on my lunch break. Seems to me as they are picking and choosing who they will email and who they won’t. Going a month without hearing anything is not cool. Since they haven’t shipped anything, they can just give me my money back.
Subscribed to the beauty box via MSA in early August, inputted a different shipping and billing address and they shipped it to my billing address anyway. I called and asked Allure why would they ask for that information if they're going to ship it to the billing address regardless, and they said that there are multiple ways to sign up and usually it defaults to the billing address, even if the shipping option is specified (so why even ask for shipping if that's the case? remove the option?). I contacted them multiple times via phone to see when they would send my beauty box (to the correct address this time). I was originally told 5-10 business days. After ten business days with no box, I reached back out and this time spoke to a manager. She was understanding, refunded my money, said she would send it out again but she informed me they only ship boxes out ONCE A MONTH. it would be 21-30 days for me to receive that box.
I got scammed by Allure BeatyBox. I ordered the box just to get the full size Sunday Riley CEO serum. Well I never received it. When I called they said that they sent it. I was like okay where is the tracking number and they said they didn’t have one. So there is no actual proof that they sent it. Which, I doubt they did since many others had this problem. They then offered me a $20 face wash as a sub which is basically a bait and switch. No thanks my face wash is elemis. So, they were like okay we’ll have a manager call you. Well that was like 3 or 4 days ago, so I’m pretty sure they blew me off. I’m cancelling today. This box is not worth the stress.
