Worst experience with a beauty box subscription I have ever had. The first box did not even come with any of the detailed products for my first month and I only recieved four products total that was supposedly including the mystery gift. I did not recieve my first box until they took out a second payment for another month. They say that its only first month with a later ship date...nope thats a lie third month and I still dont reciece my box until almost into anothet month or into the next month. Here is the funny thing, no one knows where your box is either, i have been lied to and just flat out told I dont know. I ecen had a cusyomer service person hang up the phone on me at one point asking questions on my first month of the subscription because she was too busy. It was all of 5 minutes trying to understand how there box works as oppose to all of my many other beauty box subscriptions. With all the conveniences dont believe when they tell you they will send you a previous box to accomodate for all the inconveniences, I waited for three months for the september 2017 box I never got. Finally I spoke with the supervisor Josie and well now I understand why the customer service is in shambles I think she was the worst to have a title of supervisor in customer service of all. I would much rather wait on an email from boxycharm, or chat with birchbox than to email with no responses for a week and when you call get the rudest service I have ever experienced. Gave me such a bad taste in my mouth for allure in general ew! Dobt do it go for a box that has the same amoubt of product (sample size) for 5 dollars less like ipsy, sephora play, or birchbox. Save your time and heartache.
Mine supposedly shipped yesterday. I’m so excited for it! I went ahead and ordered it because I had seen several people unbox it on YouTube. The value of the products is unbelievable for January. My theory is that allure had so many unsatisfied customers and cancellations from all the issues last year that they’re going to work really hard to bring those customers back this year. I think their goal is to make things right again and I predict some really good boxes in our future. I could be wrong but let’s hope not. 🤞
Ummm... perhaps it's time you re-educate yourself on the newest medical literature. Nutrition-based science has totally debunked the cholesterol myth. And don't take my word for it, all the biggest names in nutrition agree that eggs are very good for overall human health. This includes Dr David Perlmutter, biohacker Dave Asprey (of Bulletproof fame), writer Michael Pollan, Dr Mark Hyman, Dr Weil, Dr Joseph Mercola... the list is long and exhaustive.
Worst experience ever. It has now been a month and a half and I still have not received my box. I have made numerous phone calls to customer service and each time they were curt and rude. I finally got a tracking number after different reps kept telling me different stories. The tracking information said it would be updated within 42 to 48 hours. Going on 96 hours tracking information has still not updated so I called customer service. The gentleman that picked up the phone treated me like I was an imbecile.
I saw it advertised online and thought it would be a great way to try new beauty products without spending a lot of money on them first. I also was attracted to the ad showing some high-end cosmetics, like NARS. I liked the fact the box would contain some beauty products I'd never heard of, especially skin care products. I also liked the beauty tools that were included. However, I received a lot of products that I wouldn't use or colors outside of my palette. I would prefer it to be more customized, and I wish it had an option to be sent every other month as opposed to every month.
I’m in my 40’s. I can read and smell. I know what it is and what it’s for but it stinks and it’s full of blue dye. Stained a white pillow case. I have plenty of face and body products. This stuff is not going back on my face so I can stain another pillow case. Plus, I don’t want to smell it. It stinks! It’s packed full of vitamin C so there’s really no reason it can’t be used on feet too. At least it’s not going to waste. Have s great day!

I love subscription boxes. So after reading all the online “professional” reviews, I went for Allure since Birch is so/so (but has TOP customer service) and FabFitFun only comes 4x a year. I never received my January box, nor did many others, yet they advertised for people to sign up and get it right up until February. I emailed them a polite message and heard nothing back. Finally, I tried to cancel my subscription online, and their website has “error messages” for every time you try to perform that action on your account. You have to call. The person I spoke to today assured me that I would be given a refund in 10 business days to my debit card. If it doesn’t happen, I WILL be going through the bank, since it appears that a number of individuals are not receiving their money. Allure was poorly prepared for this subscription service.
I bought the Brickell Anti Aging Cream after receiving a free sample kit. At 47 years old I’ve never thought of taking care of my skin until I looked in the mirror one morning and saw deep furrow wrinkles running across my forehead. Where did they come from? Similar issue here. I ordered Allure in November as part of the promotion. Not only did I not receive the Sunday Riley gift (and I was one of the first to order under the promotion) but I didn’t get my November box, either. I called customer service and their answer is a big “I don’t know,” so I’ve cancelled again. Sorry, @lizcadman , you’re not getting any more commissions off me because this promotion was garbage and I don’t trust the next one not to be garbage, too.
I’m happy to see that there are several of you that are loving the spoilers for January. Now I loved the December box but I’m definitely not feeling the January or the February box lol. I’m not complaining because I know come March I may love the box. It’s a subscription box you can’t make everyone happy 100% of the time and you know what I accept that and I am ok with that. I am a fan of this subsciption box, I am pleasantly surprised by this little box when it arrives. It is a good price for the amount & quality of products. I subtracted a star because it would be perfect if you could set the color scheme of the products. When something arrives in a color I can’t wear, I’m stuck with it. So far one lip color I’ve received is not good on me, but I will give to a friend. Many products are either skin care/hair care/nail care, so color is a non issue & that’s great. Most of the colored items have been good, but, not all. I do love opening the box to see what kind of treasure it holds. I also love the little piece of literature that explains each product. Overall it’s a fun, sweet little treat I’ve given myself & always a high point when I find it waiting in my mailbox.
