We found the formula pleasantly lightweight when we tested it. It only took us about four drops to cover our entire faces, and the serum absorbs within a couple of minutes. Its scent is fairly light — you might have to focus to catch it, as opposed to Dermatologica’s knock-your-socks-off approach — and has herbal and medicinal tones that none of our testers objected to.
Ok I just got off the phone with customer service regarding the delay of the box and the email. I received this email and was pretty confused. Customer service states the email was a glitch, it was a mistake and should never have gone out. There are no replacement boxes or refunds, that the January boxes have not mailed out because they are waiting on the products to arrive. (Which seems strange and inaccurate because I literally just read in this feed where a lady already recieved her box with the Sunday Riley products). I really hate to act entitled, but I’ve been with Allure for years now, if it is in fact a screw up they have a duty to tell us, and they have a duty to fulfil subscriptions by seniority.
I had a coupon from a friend so I was able to order the box for half price. I enjoyed trying the new products. There were makeup items and fingernail items. It had also more items than I expected. I really only expected 3 or 4 items in the box so I was happy to see so many different items. They were full sized items not just sample sized. This surprised me also. I like that you can cancel for just a month or two if you need to and you don't have to stop your subscription. But I disliked that I had no choice in the type of product or in the final selection. Some items were products that I have never used and will never use.
I got offered $10 for 4 months after saying that I wanted to cancel. I signed up in November and I’ve had to email them every single month to get my box. I told them to give me the January box that I’ve paid for and I want to cancel. I got a bunch of emails that also said, “oops” etc. I use to sub with them and never had a problem. I quit because, the box started to look like SephoraPlay/Ipsy. A bunch of little samples. I’m thinking about what to do next. I’m going to comb through my bank statement because, I have a suspicion that I’ve been multiple charged by them. Thanks for listening.

Great box, horrible customer service. I cancelled my subscription online, but there is no way to remove your information online. So, they charged me again, even after my lengthy conversation with their phone rep who even convinced me not to cancel-just to suspend for 6 months. I'm cancelling now! I'm going through my credit card to dispute the charge and filing a BBB complaint. If you want this box, just get it through Amazon.
Hello. I subscribed to allure beauty box just about a week ago. I understand it takes time to send out boxes and things can hectic during holiday season. However I believe that when people are paying money every month for a service there needs to be at least reliable customer service and communication. I sent an email to their customer care and did not get any response within 48 hrs as it is stated. I subscribed to other beauty boxes and so far they at least answered promptly and kept me up to date in the service. I wish I had read all these reviews since I am getting an impression that their customer service is pretty bad.

I love subscription boxes. So after reading all the online “professional” reviews, I went for Allure since Birch is so/so (but has TOP customer service) and FabFitFun only comes 4x a year. I never received my January box, nor did many others, yet they advertised for people to sign up and get it right up until February. I emailed them a polite message and heard nothing back. Finally, I tried to cancel my subscription online, and their website has “error messages” for every time you try to perform that action on your account. You have to call. The person I spoke to today assured me that I would be given a refund in 10 business days to my debit card. If it doesn’t happen, I WILL be going through the bank, since it appears that a number of individuals are not receiving their money. Allure was poorly prepared for this subscription service.

I don’t understand why ppl accuse these companies of scamming. That is bs. This company did not get to where it is by scamming. When they send something other than the sub boxes, they don’t use tracking because it is an added cost. This is typical of all Beauty companies. I have had boxes stolen from outside my apartment door on a few occasions. Once I had an Allure box stolen and they replaced it at no charge and with no questions asked. I think a lot of the result people get is caused by how they talk to the company. I personally find that the more reasonable I am when speaking to them about a problem, the more reasonable they are about a solution. But to call them scammers I think is really off the mark because most companies do their best to try and please their customers, that is how they stay in business. It just bugs me when people assume that everything is always their fault.
