Similar issue here. I ordered Allure in November as part of the promotion. Not only did I not receive the Sunday Riley gift (and I was one of the first to order under the promotion) but I didn’t get my November box, either. I called customer service and their answer is a big “I don’t know,” so I’ve cancelled again. Sorry, @lizcadman , you’re not getting any more commissions off me because this promotion was garbage and I don’t trust the next one not to be garbage, too.
This happened to me. I ended up calling the Conde Nast main number to complain. I was told, if you get the subscription box, you cannot get the Black Friday 3 month deal and extra gifts. It’s for NEW customers only. I told them I thought that was BS since, it didn’t state it on the offer that it was for new customers only. They charged, refunded, and charged again, but they ended up refunding me. The computer tries to debit the money from your card automatically but it bounces back as you cannot have 2 open accounts. Getting that deal would have opened a new account and will screw up the subscription. I was waiting over a month for my box and gifts and I HAD TO CALL TO GET THE INFO that I wasn’t getting it. SOB’s!!!! But I love ALLURE, I get the magazine too., I ended up getting a deal off amazon. I still get the subscription but it’s a month to month . SMH! Sorry this happened to you 🙁

Yes, I know it can take up to 20 days for the first box. People who have signed up after the date that I did are receiving boxes, so to say I’m frustrated is an understatement. It’s not hard to cancel Allure at all. I think people just aren’t looking hard enough on the website. Go to FAQ’s. It’ll help. Also, my experience with customer service for the past 5 years has been stellar. I dunno. I think it’s important to use diplomacy for best outcomes with these companies. I always start with praise and tell them I know they will offer the best solution to the problem/complaint. It has worked for me.

I've been a subscriber for 5 months. For the last 4 of those 5 months, I've been charged for the box and weeks later have had to email to ask where the box is. Only then does my box ever get shipped. Today I decided to call instead of email. The first person I spoke to was very friendly and understood my frustration. He told me he saw in my account that my box has "missed the truck" literally every month. He transferred me to a supervisor to further assist me. That's where the problems really start. He left me with this HORRIBLE woman who was the nastiest customer service representative I've ever spoken to. She basically tried to tell me that it didn't miss the truck and it was leaving the warehouse today.
