Hello. I subscribed to allure beauty box just about a week ago. I understand it takes time to send out boxes and things can hectic during holiday season. However I believe that when people are paying money every month for a service there needs to be at least reliable customer service and communication. I sent an email to their customer care and did not get any response within 48 hrs as it is stated. I subscribed to other beauty boxes and so far they at least answered promptly and kept me up to date in the service. I wish I had read all these reviews since I am getting an impression that their customer service is pretty bad.
We decided to call in the experts. First, we lined up in a conference room and took pictures of our tired-looking eyes—first thing in the morning, and makeup free. Then I called up a couple dermatologists and asked them to review the photos and tell me what we were looking at. I’m not saying that we needed to be diagnosed or that we had “problems” that needed to be “fixed.” But we knew we had these things that bothered us, and we wanted to learn about what we were working with, and what tricks we could use to minimize their appearance. The dermatologists I spoke to explained what makes eyes puffy, what causes dark circles, and what so-called bags even are. They pointed out the telltale signs in our photos, and gave their expert recommendations for how to treat them.
I guess I must be one of the lucky people because I have never had the issues as far as not getting my bonus items or missing items and it makes me wonder why someone complains about continuously having this issue. How is it that some have NEVER experienced the allure issues and other ALWAYS have a problem? This is honestly the first month where I’ve been confused because I too received the crazy emails.
I decided to try out Allure and I really regret it. I made my subscription purchase on December 31st hoping to get the January box. I was charged twice at their "first-time subscriber" rate. Then a couple days later I was charged the full price of a box on top of that. I emailed the same day I made my order and heard nothing back within 48 hours. I then emailed again. Nothing. Finally I called in. I was informed that one of the charges was refunded (though my bank account still doesn't reflect this). I was also told that of you sign up at the end of the month they will charge you for both that month and the next month.
I've been a subscriber for 5 months. For the last 4 of those 5 months, I've been charged for the box and weeks later have had to email to ask where the box is. Only then does my box ever get shipped. Today I decided to call instead of email. The first person I spoke to was very friendly and understood my frustration. He told me he saw in my account that my box has "missed the truck" literally every month. He transferred me to a supervisor to further assist me. That's where the problems really start. He left me with this HORRIBLE woman who was the nastiest customer service representative I've ever spoken to. She basically tried to tell me that it didn't miss the truck and it was leaving the warehouse today.
I have never had such an issue so early on with like… any company. Not like this. Toward the end of my emails I just told them to please cancel my subscription I don’t care about January. God knows what’s going to happen now. I kind of would like the Jan. box because I want to try Sunday Riley, but the amount of issues going on over there I’m thinking it’s best to just end things now.

Is there any new news on the November box & that one-day bonus Sunday Riley CEO? I haven’t had any of my emails (to various addresses) returned. Last I heard (here on MSA, bless you all!) was that people who had managed to get a live person on the phone were told that shipments were lost. I haven’t received my December box, either, tho I haven’t unsubscribed because I still want that Sunday Riley if at all possible. I’m not even as much angry anymore as sad.

But everyone's sensitivity to retinol and AHAs is different, so it’s best to be cautious until you know how well your skin will tolerate the product. I have ordered from 3 other box subscriptions, trying each to see which fits me best. I placed an order for the Beauty Box and 6 month magazine subscription together at a discounted rate. After checking out the site and learning that there is no profile to select your skin color/tone or any preferences - I decided this box was not going to be for me. I emailed customer service 4 times asking them to cancel. I got an automatic response each time stating they would get back with me in 3-5 business days. Never happened.
Same here. When I signed up the Sunday Riley item didn’t show up on the confirmation page, so I emailed them. I said that I do not want the box if I am not getting the gift, since it was the only reason I subscribed. I received no reply and no gift. I also referred a friend and should have gotten the drunk elephant gift as well, but I didn’t. Customer service is completely ignoring me.
I absolutely love Allure. Their boxes are always so well done and the value is amazing. I’ve never had any issues with their customer service. The key is to call. It takes less time to call than to email. Their CS has alaways been great and friendly. I’ve never had a problem canceling. They have the best products and the value is so great. Thanks Allure. I will be a customer for as long as you have a box and magazine.
