However, when I had my boyfriend sign up ( to get that new subscriber discount! ) he said the free gift was some perfume. I didn’t mind since I can always gift it and of course, it free. Lol but when I opened it, I didn’t get the perfume, I actually got a small tub of Drunk Elephant Creme!! 😱 I was pleasantly surprised! But I didn’t refer him or anything (I forgot) and just wanted to know if this happened to anyone else?

I heard about this brand from my cousin a while back. She said it’s the best sub she’s had and enjoys and looks forward to it so I gave it a try and I couldn’t be happier with it. It’s truly unique and high quality. The Allure Beauty Box is very well designed and thought out. It’s nice to be surprised with unique products within each customized professional looking box that is delivered to me. They did a great job making it look fancy and picking just the right needed products that make me happy. I have no complaints about it and recommend it. It’s definitely worthwhile to have and enjoy.

Use hydrating and brightening eye cream. I was using one by Mychelle before I switched to Bella Aura Eye Cream, and this one really works for me. The thing with eye cream is that if it doesn’t show improvement, you use it infrequently–and thus diminishing what returns you may have had. Look for Vitamin C which is a precursor to collagen *and* has brightening powers. I use a powerful antioxidant serum like Bella Aura Antioxidant Booster or Earthwise Beauty Nap in the Meadow Serum right up until the lower lash line, and *then* layer an eye cream on top.

Alas, under-eye bags are not a feature that improves with age. Now, many people get dark circles when they have a bad night’s sleep–occasionally, but not severely. I’ve had a combination of under-eye bags *and* dark circles since college. If you’re wondering what that even looks like, imagine curtain valances (the half-moon drapes that top your curtains). Thank you, Dad.
But we weren’t done. To ensure safety and efficacy, we also preferred wrinkle creams that came in tubes or pump-tops rather than tubs or jars. Chemist Jennifer Reid explains, “Sticking your fingers directly into the product can introduce bacteria, and open tubs also expose a large surface area of the product to oxygen.” Like UV rays, oxygen can degrade the effectiveness of our key ingredients. But bacteria is a whole other mess.
If you need to minimize the appearance of dark circles and under-eye bags STAT, cooling down the area is one solution. Cucumber slices, potato slices, gel eye masks, cold wash rags, and even cold spoons can do the trick. Whatever you choose, leave it on for ten to twenty minutes and give it a chance to really soothe the skin under surrounding your eyes. Applying something cool to your eyes is especially effective at reducing constricting swollen under-eye blood vessels.
Change your dietary habits. A salty dinner paired with a few cocktails is fine every once in a while, but if you make a daily habit of eating salt and drinking alcohol, it can have a long-term effect on your eye bags. Years of water retention in the facial area can lead to permanently stretched-out bags. To prevent this from happening to you, try making the following changes:

People are saying that Allure is supposed to get them on the 7th and they will ship with the Jan boxes. I think it’s funny that it seems like they waited an extra long time to send these out to weed out the scammers who only got the one box for the high-priced free goodie. I have had allure for over a year, and I cancelled after the Nov box bc I wasn’t interested in the Dec box. So when this promo popped up, I said what the heck and resigned back up. I got a second Nov box, which came in handy for extras in gifts at Christmas, and ended up really liking the Dec box. I haven’t gotten the CEO yet, but if they do end up sending it with the Jan box, I’ll be pleasantly surprised. If I don’t get it, oh well. I still got my money’s worth and then some.
If your eyes are swollen and puffy, try a cold compress. Not only can this help reduce puffy eyes, it can be very relaxing which adds to a youthful appearance. You can achieve this by using chilled spoons on top of your eyes, slices of cucumbers, or even chilled, dampened tea bags with a drop of lavender essential oil added. The cool temperature is what makes this home remedy effective.

I think that modelco product is actually the highlighting cream trio, not eyeshadow. Just FYI, it’s a cream bronzer, blush and highlighter in the trio. A “cream to powder finish” they say. So yeah it’s definitely the highlighting trio as they call it (really a cream blush, bronzer and highlighter) and it’s def not an eyeshadow palette trio like you have listed though
Retinol, more commonly known as vitamin A, is perhaps the preeminent ingredient for decreasing the depth of lines and wrinkles on the surface of the skin. Dr. Brandt Glow Revitalizing Retinol Eye Cream is a top anti-wrinkle eye cream, as it is formulated with time-released retinol. This helps reduce the chance of redness, peeling and irritation in the delicate eye area by delivering a tolerable yet effective dose.

Depending on what's causing bags under the eyes, eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) may be a treatment option. During blepharoplasty (BLEF-uh-roe-plas-tee), the surgeon removes excess fat through an incision in the natural crease of the upper eyelid or inside the lower lid. He or she then rejoins the skin with tiny dissolving stitches. The procedure is usually done as an outpatient procedure.
"This is the first time I have purchased a cosmetic product solely based on previous reviews. I have sensitive skin so have never tried a retinoid product before. I have nice enough skin but I’m 45 and have a few sun spots. I have been amazed at the change in my complexion. After a week of use 2x/day it looked brighter, more even in tone, almost younger. I have had no dryness, and have even started using it around my eyes with no dryness. Great product!" —Colby
Spoke with customer service on 9/14 to update my credit card info. Rep stated that I was all set and I would receive a confirmation email which I did on 9/17 alone with Allure charging my account in the amount of $16.33 for the Sept box. On 9/21 my account was suspended. "Suspended customer's request???" What's that. I called and they said they don't know what happened and don't know why the account said that. Then she told me that I would not receive the Sept box and would have to wait until October. WHAT!!! Your mistake and you charged me for NOTHING!!! DON'T DO IT. SAVE YOURSELF A BIG HEADACHE!!!
The majority of studies evaluating the benefits of these OTC retinoids are poorly designed and the effectiveness of these studies is regarded as marginal, at best, by most skin experts. When marketed as cosmetics, the manufacturers of these “anti-wrinkle” creams are not required to obtain pre-market FDA approval, nor are they required to prove the product’s efficacy to back up claims. OTC “anti-wrinkle” creams, in essence, are merely moisturizers that claim to improve skin tone, texture, and radiance while reducing wrinkling. As a skin care expert, the true ability of an OTC “anti-wrinkle” cream to improve the appearance of the skin has more do to with the products ability to moisturize, to increase the water content of the skin.
Strategic decisions were made to grow the business even further across all teams, including business and editorial, and included bringing on a former employee from Birchbox, a subscription box for makeup, hair care and skincare. Furthermore, putting together the box is a newsroom-wide and collaborative effort and is something editors across editorial operations works on.
Alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) and beta hydroxy acids or other chemical peels. These help to dissolve the intracellular "glue" that holds dead cells together on the skin. The use of this type of product on a daily basis gradually enhances the exfoliation of the epidermis. This exposes newer skin cells and can help improve appearance. AHAs may irritate some skin, causing redness and flaking.[medical citation needed]
I’m in my 40’s. I can read and smell. I know what it is and what it’s for but it stinks and it’s full of blue dye. Stained a white pillow case. I have plenty of face and body products. This stuff is not going back on my face so I can stain another pillow case. Plus, I don’t want to smell it. It stinks! It’s packed full of vitamin C so there’s really no reason it can’t be used on feet too. At least it’s not going to waste. Have s great day!

I saw all of the reviews and thought this would be great to buy. I only had a couple lines under and around my eyes so I thought it would work great for that. After 2 months I notice absolutely no difference. I noticed it seems very oily. My face would look so greasy after applying and it felt gross when I woke up in the morning. I did shake it vigorously before each use but it still seemed oily. Maybe I received a bad jar but I doubt it based upon some of the other reviews I read. I will definitely look elsewhere for a different product as this one was simply not worth the money.
Retinoids are one of the most well-documented wrinkle fighters around, reversing the signs of aging in study after study (after study). A class of chemicals derived from vitamin A, retinoids work in two ways: First, they help your skin slough off old cells and make new ones — a process our bodies are good at when young, but which slows down as we age. Second, they spur collagen production, improving elasticity and filling in lines — another natural process that tends to slow down with age.
I've been a subscriber for 5 months. For the last 4 of those 5 months, I've been charged for the box and weeks later have had to email to ask where the box is. Only then does my box ever get shipped. Today I decided to call instead of email. The first person I spoke to was very friendly and understood my frustration. He told me he saw in my account that my box has "missed the truck" literally every month. He transferred me to a supervisor to further assist me. That's where the problems really start. He left me with this HORRIBLE woman who was the nastiest customer service representative I've ever spoken to. She basically tried to tell me that it didn't miss the truck and it was leaving the warehouse today.
The consistency, in my jar, is thick like pomade/defining paste for hair. This confused me since the instructions on the label say to “shake well before each use.” I’ve used it only at night since it is so thick and greasy no matter how little I used. No more than 1 hour after applying it I noticed that it becomes grainy on my skin and when I’d rub it particles would fall off like dandruff. It reminds me of how glue from a glue stick feels after it dries on your fingers and begins falling off.
That’s why we love this Mario Badescu Vital with Collagen and Elastin…it was made especially for men! Stripped away from the floral scents and frilly packaging that is so common in the beauty industry, this collagen cream is a man’s no-nonsense, cut to the chase wrinkle-fighting dream. After all, isn’t it about time that the guys of the world hopped on the train towards healthier, better-looking skin?
The LiftActive achieved fantastic results in the clinical trials! After 4 weeks of twice-daily use, 79% of participants agreed it made their skin their skin smoother and 85% felt their skin was more comfortable. Separately, there was found to be a 38% increase in skin firmness! Even better, it was demonstrated that with continued use, the cream gives long-lasting effects!
Polly, I have subscribed to tons of beauty boxes and at the moment have downsized my subs to just ALLURE and BOXYCHARM. At the moment, I have so much makeup that I think I may soon pause on boxycharm but I can NOT unsubscribe without my ALLURE. I agree, I always find at least a couple of items that are useful and make me break out of my ever expanding box…plus I just love the box!
I got an email on the 20th saying I will not be getting this months box because I updated my credit card info. I updated my info on January 2, 2020 and they waited until January 20th to email me I am so not happy. I had to update my credit card because I was hacked over Christmas. I didn’t think when you updated online it takes them almost a month to process. Next time I’ll call if I did I probably would be getting my box.

Hope you got all your boxes. It does hurt a little knowing you ordered a box in December through Amazon and got it early January, when I’ve been subscribed for a year through Allure and didn’t get mine till January 30 because they ran out. I know it was a popular box so they got a lot of new orders in, but they should’ve filled the old orders first. Does anyone know how long Amazon’s been selling Allure’s and other beauty boxes? I wish I’d known that when I first subscribed.
