Truth is, your eye puffiness and darkness could be inherited. "The undereye area is one of the thinner areas and is easily neglected in basic skin care," says Paul Jarrod Frank, a cosmetic dermatologist in New York City. "There is a strong genetic component to dark circles, which is out of people’s control." Womp, womp. Yes, much of the reason you have those circles is that of your parents' own thin skin (thanks, Mom). Sometimes you have them because of an increase in pigment in that area. But don't run to the doctor asking for a pricey laser or needle treatment. Below are ways to minimize the appearance of those circles that won't cost you an arm or a leg. These affordable tips go way beyond putting cucumbers on your eyes.
We decided to call in the experts. First, we lined up in a conference room and took pictures of our tired-looking eyes—first thing in the morning, and makeup free. Then I called up a couple dermatologists and asked them to review the photos and tell me what we were looking at. I’m not saying that we needed to be diagnosed or that we had “problems” that needed to be “fixed.” But we knew we had these things that bothered us, and we wanted to learn about what we were working with, and what tricks we could use to minimize their appearance. The dermatologists I spoke to explained what makes eyes puffy, what causes dark circles, and what so-called bags even are. They pointed out the telltale signs in our photos, and gave their expert recommendations for how to treat them.
I use my dermaroller once a month. Some people recommend using it more often (or less often, if you’re using bigger needles), but I like this frequency—it’s enough for maintenance without feeling too harsh on my skin. Sometimes, if it’s been a particularly stressful month or if I’ve been traveling, I’ll see those familiar shadows start to creep up again toward the end, but it’s nothing my go-to cream concealer and upping my water intake can’t help. (And that is a sentence I could have only dreamed of uttering so airily just a year ago.)

I've been using the cream for about a year, and have really liked it. Honestly, I had real doubts about whether any of this stuff really worked, and let's face it: nothing really holds back time. But I have to admit: I think it has helped reduce some of the lines on my forehead, and on the rest of my face it's left my skin feeling really healthy and smooth. I've been using it as part of a routine with the night serum (which I also really like), and have been using the day serum/face moisturizer in the morning as well (the day serum may be the best of all of their products). When you put it all together, I think it's been worth the money (and I originally thought that $40 for a 2oz jar was INSANE: but what I didn't realize is that a 2oz jar lasts 4-6 months (or more), so really, the cost isn't a big deal. I just don't think men realize how to use this stuff: it's really a tiny amount each day).
HORRRRIBLEEE!!! I recieved by box with the nail polish already shattered and damaging every single product in the box so I emailed TWICE asking nicely for a replacement or for a refund and I got no reply so when I finally called after 6 days of no response the woman on the phone didn't so much as even fake apologize she just said "okay you're cancelled" and that was all. Rude and I'll be telling everyone I know. I also referred a bunch of people who signed up and then after this I got them all to cancel and will be telling everyone I can to not waste their money/time. Simple customer service skills could have gone a long way. Damaged items are an easy fix but the people they have replying to emails and phone calls are the real damaged items.
So I received the same email early this morning about the title line being a refund and bonus box, but then when I open the body of the email it says that there was a shipping delay and my January box would be shipping next week. I will be a little upset if I don’t receive the Sunday Riley products and a bunch of random crap in a box since I signed up in December and my payment posted on 01/04 for January. I am also expecting a box from Amazon, it says that one has shipped, has anyone received their box from Amazon yet? and If so did it have the SR products in it?
Puffy, swollen and often discoloured, under eye bags are caused by fluid or fat accumulating below the eyes. So disgusted!!! I've only had this subscription for 3 months (May being the third month) and all 3 months I've had to contact customer service! The first month- it was 3 weeks after my payment posted to my bank account before I received an email stating my box was shipped and on its way. They said that's how it goes with the first months box. So ok. Then the second month, April, the money is posted to my account. When you sign up it states onces the money is withdrawn from your bank account, once it posts you will receive an email stating it has shipped. So 3-4 days go by still no email. A week. Still no email. Once again almost 3 weeks go by before I receive an email that the box has even shipped! They tell me sorry for the delay, I write back saying, "yes I see that there is a delay, but why is there such a delay? When you order it states once the money is posted in your account you will receive an email about shipping, not several weeks later" no reply back. So this month (May) I check my bank account and I notice that they double charged me. Once on May 11th and again on May 14th. I write them about this double charge asking to be reimbursed. Later that day (may 16th) there is a reversal charge and the money is put back into my account. They get back to me on the 18th stating that "there was only one charge which was May 11th which is for my beauty box and that their records show no charge on May 14th!!! So I wrote them back and told them that is strange because I can see it right on my account. I took pictures of both charges with the dates as well as the reversal charge and told them I don't know how it was taken care of but thankfully it was because it doesn't sound like I would of received much help!!! I am seriously debating cancelling my subscription. I do like the products which is why I gave this review one star! Let's see when i receive the email about shipping! As of today it has been a week since the payment was posted to my bank account!!!

Amazon had some sort of sale so I signed for a few subscriptions to see if anything was worth it. After the first month, the only one I kept was Allure. I'm a serious skincare person and a terrible make-up person but the box had a nice blend of both -- enough make-up for me to play with and some good skincare stuff/brands I hadn't seen. The second month I got an envelope in the mail and it's a single Kat Von D lipliner -- I'm not a fan of her make-up line and thought 'yep, this is it, subscription boxes suck' and canceled. Tonight, I got home and there's a proper box with some great make-up and two different face oils to try (and seriously, no joke, I was googling face oils today). So I signed back up and am now writing this review.
