Subscribed to the beauty box via MSA in early August, inputted a different shipping and billing address and they shipped it to my billing address anyway. I called and asked Allure why would they ask for that information if they're going to ship it to the billing address regardless, and they said that there are multiple ways to sign up and usually it defaults to the billing address, even if the shipping option is specified (so why even ask for shipping if that's the case? remove the option?). I contacted them multiple times via phone to see when they would send my beauty box (to the correct address this time). I was originally told 5-10 business days. After ten business days with no box, I reached back out and this time spoke to a manager. She was understanding, refunded my money, said she would send it out again but she informed me they only ship boxes out ONCE A MONTH. it would be 21-30 days for me to receive that box.
I saw it advertised online and thought it would be a great way to try new beauty products without spending a lot of money on them first. I also was attracted to the ad showing some high-end cosmetics, like NARS. I liked the fact the box would contain some beauty products I'd never heard of, especially skin care products. I also liked the beauty tools that were included. However, I received a lot of products that I wouldn't use or colors outside of my palette. I would prefer it to be more customized, and I wish it had an option to be sent every other month as opposed to every month.

I got scammed by Allure BeatyBox. I ordered the box just to get the full size Sunday Riley CEO serum. Well I never received it. When I called they said that they sent it. I was like okay where is the tracking number and they said they didn’t have one. So there is no actual proof that they sent it. Which, I doubt they did since many others had this problem. They then offered me a $20 face wash as a sub which is basically a bait and switch. No thanks my face wash is elemis. So, they were like okay we’ll have a manager call you. Well that was like 3 or 4 days ago, so I’m pretty sure they blew me off. I’m cancelling today. This box is not worth the stress.
I decided to subscribe to Allure B. Box because I thought it would be a great way to receive samples and beauty products to try out. I started Oct. 5 2018 and they charged me right away. I never heard back on shipping for that month. Oct 16 I sent an email and on Oct 18 I received a tracking email. Needless to say I received the box very late Oct. I decided to cancel, with an email, I was offered to please stay and they would do the next “4 boxes at $10 ea.” Instead of $15. I accepted, this was Oct 31. On Nov. 1st they charged my card for the Nov. box. ALL November I waited, no emails, no information. I got an email just advising a “November Round up” for those who did get the box can review the products. I sent an email no response, so I decided to call. I spoke to a rep saying she didn’t understand why I had received one. On their end it showed it had not left “the warehouse” but she’d message a supervisor who’d get back to me.
I’m not a fan of any Bliss products, they seem harsh. I’ve been spending time researching ingredients and choosing products based on that, not just reviews. We have chemists among us but that does not make them experts on skin itself. Many people’s skin reacts in different ways. I’m loving how gentle Tacha products are and I am seeing real results, something many beauty lines claim but have not really come through for me. Trouble is Tacha is so expensive, however, the travel sizes go a long way and I can afford those. Fantastic line!

I signed up on Dec 17, money came out of my account on Dec 18, but I still have no box. I haven’t’ even been charged for January yet and I’ve heard not a peep from Allure. I’ll be calling to cancel on my lunch break. Seems to me as they are picking and choosing who they will email and who they won’t. Going a month without hearing anything is not cool. Since they haven’t shipped anything, they can just give me my money back.

I always start with praise and tell them I know they will offer the best solution to the problem/complaint. It has worked for me.
You definitely have to try adding boxycharm. The products are always full size and you get five products for $21. Even if you don’t like a couple of the products it’s over the value of what you pay for it. And we get brushes like every other month it seems like. Allure hasn’t been too bad. It’s like $16 and you get some full size and some sample size. This month is a special Kat Von D box that has a full size of the lip liner a full size of her liquid lipstick and a full size walnut scrub. I am excited. Ipsy is Nice, you do get some brushes in them. I generally feel like I get lower end samples though. And I got a product I hate twice in a row even after I gave it a bad review. You do get some full size products in it. I did get a tarte blush in a pretty good size. They are worth a shot too. Birchbox is great for skin care. You will get a couple of makeup products, but mostly skin care.

Awesome Box, Bad Customer Service! I gave the Allure Beauty Box a try for a year and while 8/10 times I loved the items I was mailed, the customer service and lack there of was a deal breaker for me. When they send out the 'spoiler' email it was always without a link, the tracking number came more often than not after my package arrived and after January's huge SNAFU (first they send out a mass email that they have canceled your order, then they send another that reads they have refunded your money and will be sending out a free box, but when this message is opened it says nothing of the sort, and finally an "oops" message stating the box will ship "soon" which for me was another 2 weeks. I decided to cancel my subscription, because what should be a fun, enjoyable treat was becoming nothing but stress.
