We’ve all heard the saying that “age is just a number” but, for better or worse, this isn’t exactly indicative of how most of us feel about ourselves after we reach that “scary age” (we all have one…you know, that age when you are officially O-L-D). While it would be great if we could all age gracefully and embrace our fine lines and wrinkles as passport stamps of our past, the fact is that most of us would like to stay put at the ripe young age of 28 indefinitely if we could.
L’Occitane claims this cream is made from a flower they discovered in Corsica named the Imortelle that, like the name may suggest, never fades. They also claim that 85% of women who use this product have younger-looking skin. We’re naturally skeptical about most statistics a company volunteers like these, but the reviews suggest we’re wrong to be so. One reviewer was even asked if she’s “had work done” – there must be something here!

This box looks amazing! They gave us that full sized Sunday Riley CEO cream last January and now this January we get a full brand new Dave oil from Sunday Riley! That alone makes the box for me. Along with the other SR product and eyeshadow stick, this is a home run all the way around. They’re definitely starting off the year absolutely killing it and beating out all the other sub boxes with this curation!
I’ve purchased rollers from Amazon for as little as $16. Benjamin actually chided me a little for this; though, as with anything I purchase from that vast marketplace, I pay close attention to reviews before pulling the trigger. Still, it might be wiser to buy something from a more verified retailer, like Benjamin’s own Stacked Skincare. You’ll want to replace your microroller after a few uses.
Animal testing in the beauty industry is an international travesty that really shouldn’t be a part of our beauty dialogue anymore. If, like us, the idea of innocent creatures being tortured and even killed for the latest and greatest beauty products makes you angry, look no further than Baebody. This company manufactures this moisturizer in the USA and does not test its products on animals.
Apparently the Sunday Riley Glow Serum in the January box is a full size. You can preorder that and the retinoid cream on Sunday Riley’s website. It comes in a kit with a glycolic treatment. I’m super excited for all 3 boxes! I’m a little sad that the retinoid cream from Sunday Riley will be wasted on me because I already have a high strength prescription retinoid cream I use every night.
So, if it typically takes you 20 minutes to burn and you’re using an SPF 30 sunscreen, you can expect protection for up to 600 minutes (10 hours). This, of course, depends on the time of day, whether you are sweating or swimming, the severity of the rays, etc. However you will only be protected up to the maximum. It is important that you take into account sweat, bathing and sun cream absorption though.

The anatomy of your facial features also plays a role. A prominent “tear trough” or nasojugal groove, extending from the inner corner of the eye diagonally toward the cheekbone, can cause shadowing and make dark circles more apparent. This trough can appear or deepen with fat loss that often comes with age and can start around 25—or you can just thank bone structure and genetics.
Worst experience with a beauty box subscription I have ever had. The first box did not even come with any of the detailed products for my first month and I only recieved four products total that was supposedly including the mystery gift. I did not recieve my first box until they took out a second payment for another month. They say that its only first month with a later ship date...nope thats a lie third month and I still dont reciece my box until almost into anothet month or into the next month. Here is the funny thing, no one knows where your box is either, i have been lied to and just flat out told I dont know. I ecen had a cusyomer service person hang up the phone on me at one point asking questions on my first month of the subscription because she was too busy. It was all of 5 minutes trying to understand how there box works as oppose to all of my many other beauty box subscriptions. With all the conveniences dont believe when they tell you they will send you a previous box to accomodate for all the inconveniences, I waited for three months for the september 2017 box I never got. Finally I spoke with the supervisor Josie and well now I understand why the customer service is in shambles I think she was the worst to have a title of supervisor in customer service of all. I would much rather wait on an email from boxycharm, or chat with birchbox than to email with no responses for a week and when you call get the rudest service I have ever experienced. Gave me such a bad taste in my mouth for allure in general ew! Dobt do it go for a box that has the same amoubt of product (sample size) for 5 dollars less like ipsy, sephora play, or birchbox. Save your time and heartache.
As is the case with most of the body’s natural processes, collagen production naturally slows down a bit as we age. When collagen levels drop, the elasticity of our skin (and the other parts of our bodies that depend on this vital protein) soften and become more fragile. Decreased collagen levels can lead to everything from wrinkles and fine lines to increased bone fragility and de-pigmented hair color (that’s where those stubborn grays and, if we let them, eventual white hairs come from!).
No matter how old you are, we bet that one of the last things you want to show up on your pretty little face—right up there with fine lines and wrinkles and dark spots—is a set of bags under your eyes. Sadly, there’s no magic solution that’ll completely get rid of the puffiness under your eyes—but there are some skin care products and tips you can add to your skin care routine to help reduce the look of under-eye bags. Of course, it’s also important to understand what can cause under-eye bags in the first place. Keep reading to find out about the most common reasons behind noticeable under-eye bags, plus learn multiple ways—15, to be specific—to help minimize their appearance.
So, you slather your skin from head to toe with sunscreen, but you avoid getting your SPF too close to your eyes. It may sound reasonable, since you don’t want to deal with stinging, burning eyes. But that doesn’t negate your need for sun protection in that area. For an easy solution, seek out an eye cream that’s formulated with SPF. Additionally, make sure you wear the proper accessories. When you’ll be exposed to the sun, don a pair of large sunglasses that provide UV protection with a wide brimmed hat. Besides defending against sun damage, proper sun protection can help prevent under-eye bags.
Amazon had some sort of sale so I signed for a few subscriptions to see if anything was worth it. After the first month, the only one I kept was Allure. I'm a serious skincare person and a terrible make-up person but the box had a nice blend of both -- enough make-up for me to play with and some good skincare stuff/brands I hadn't seen. The second month I got an envelope in the mail and it's a single Kat Von D lipliner -- I'm not a fan of her make-up line and thought 'yep, this is it, subscription boxes suck' and canceled. Tonight, I got home and there's a proper box with some great make-up and two different face oils to try (and seriously, no joke, I was googling face oils today). So I signed back up and am now writing this review.
