Whenever you find yourself shopping around for a new wrinkle-fighting and age-defying Super Product, one factor stands out above the rest: results. Sure, we all love a sweet-smelling formula or a list of ingredients comparable to our favorite salad but, at the end of the day, does any of that really matter if you’re still plagued by crow’s feet and fine lines?
"Here’s how I use this product: I place some cream (about the size of 1-2 green peas) on my index finger and dab it on my forehead, my nose, each cheek and my chin before slowly rubbing the product into my skin in a large circular motion — first clockwise, then counterclockwise. Any product that's left on my fingers goes right to the backs of my hands for some anti-aging there,” says Dr. Gary Goldenberg, M.D., assistant clinical professor of dermatology at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City.
When all else fails, help cover your under-eye bags with makeup! Stock your makeup bag with a flesh-toned concealer so that you can quickly dab over any unwanted under-eye bags. Try the L’Oréal Paris True Match™ Super-Blendable Multi-Use Concealer, and for a natural-looking finish, gently apply concealer with the L’Oréal Paris Infallible Blend Artist Concealer Blender.

The least expensive of the top trio of eye creams, Eau Thermale Avène Rétrinal Eyes Eye Contour Care was just as moisturizing as our gold winner and earned kudos from satisfied testers for its nongreasy, fast-absorbing formula. However, dermatologists recommend that if dark circles are your primary concern, invest in a good concealer. Topical lotions are ineffective at treating them.
Reduce the amount of salt you use in everyday cooking. Try cutting it in half or cutting it out entirely - you'd be surprised how flavorful food can be without the addition of a lot of salt. Try cutting back the salt you use in baked goods and avoiding salt altogether at dinnertime, since your body won't have time to balance things out before you sleep.
The very best way to tackle wrinkles is to prevent them in the first place. Everyone we spoke to — dermatologists and chemists alike — noted that the most important wrinkle-fighting product you should own is sunscreen. And not just any sunscreen: a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30 (as we learned when reviewing the best sunscreen). Stick with SPF 30; wear it every single day; and reapply as often as the instructions tell you to.
“Sunscreen is the most important anti-aging product because the sun is responsible for 90 percent of skin aging. This is my favorite face sunscreen because it doesn’t irritate even the most sensitive skin — we even use it on patients after laser procedures. It’s water-resistant and adds a light tint to your skin, which is great for when you want to go sans makeup. I apply it after my moisturizer and before my makeup. Just be sure to reapply if you’re outdoors all day,” says Dr. Arielle Kauvar, M.D, a New York City-based dermatologist and clinical professor of dermatology at Langone NYU Medical Center.
While we like to think we actually get better with age, we totally understand that there might be some pesky skin changes you want to address as the years pass. It's difficult to pinpoint exactly when to start incorporating anti-aging products into your routine, so we chatted with one of our favorite experts, Genevieve Vielbig, R.N., B.S.N., C.A.N.S., to get the scoop on the best approach to wrinkle creams.
I subscribed to the Beauty Box and they took the money out and for 2 weeks I didn't get any sort of confirmation. So I emailed them and 1 week later they responded with just saying it will soon be shipped out. The following month I still didn't receive it and all they said was, "Sorry for inconvenience but it was shipped and nothing we can do at this point." My friend received her box and the bag was broken and one other product and they never replaced it. I cancelled my subscription and went through my bank to get my money back because they did not even respond after that.
As is the case with most of the body’s natural processes, collagen production naturally slows down a bit as we age. When collagen levels drop, the elasticity of our skin (and the other parts of our bodies that depend on this vital protein) soften and become more fragile. Decreased collagen levels can lead to everything from wrinkles and fine lines to increased bone fragility and de-pigmented hair color (that’s where those stubborn grays and, if we let them, eventual white hairs come from!).

Similar issue here. I ordered Allure in November as part of the promotion. Not only did I not receive the Sunday Riley gift (and I was one of the first to order under the promotion) but I didn’t get my November box, either. I called customer service and their answer is a big “I don’t know,” so I’ve cancelled again. Sorry, @lizcadman , you’re not getting any more commissions off me because this promotion was garbage and I don’t trust the next one not to be garbage, too.

This set of eye creams is formulated for night and day use. The day cream is more geared for protection while you and your skin are exposed to harmful environmental factors like UV rays and contaminants. The night cream is set to hydrate and moisturize all through the night while you sleep. The combination of these two will have your skin feeling softer and smoother and looking younger than ever.
Best for normal, dry, sensitive, and combination skin, this lightweight anti-aging cream isn't the type that's going to make you look shiny all day. After applying, it leaves you with a nice matte finish — and meanwhile, it's doing some serious wrinkle-fighting with key ingredients like vine resveratrol for firmness and micro hyaluronic acids for volume.

Truth is, your eye puffiness and darkness could be inherited. "The undereye area is one of the thinner areas and is easily neglected in basic skin care," says Paul Jarrod Frank, a cosmetic dermatologist in New York City. "There is a strong genetic component to dark circles, which is out of people’s control." Womp, womp. Yes, much of the reason you have those circles is that of your parents' own thin skin (thanks, Mom). Sometimes you have them because of an increase in pigment in that area. But don't run to the doctor asking for a pricey laser or needle treatment. Below are ways to minimize the appearance of those circles that won't cost you an arm or a leg. These affordable tips go way beyond putting cucumbers on your eyes.

"Sometimes dark circles are caused by increased pigment, either from rubbing or from sun damage," says Nazarian. "The best treatment for this includes topical lightening agents such as vitamin C, kojic acid, and licorice extract. These ingredients help decrease skin pigmentation over time, ultimately resulting in the lightening of the dark circles." And you must wear sunscreen. "Invest in a broad-spectrum physical sunscreen that contains zinc oxide or titanium dioxide," Tung says.

Vitamin C, a powerful antioxidant, fights free radicals, a byproduct of cell metabolism in your body. Free radicals are thought to attack proteins, fats and DNA -- and break down collagen, leading to lines and wrinkles. Anti-wrinkle eye creams that include vitamin C are top in the anti-aging category because of their ability to minimize lines, while firming and brightening skin. Dermatologist formulated Murad Essential-C Eye Cream SPF 15 is a top anti-wrinkle eye cream, featuring a patented anti-aging formula.
Same! I only see a reference to the refund and free box in the preview of the e-mail while I’m looking at my entire mailbox. If I open the message, the subject says nothing about a refund and free box, and the body of the e-mail just says they apologize for the shipping delay. I’m not optimistic the refund and bonus box will really happen. I think that part may have been a mistake.

This anti-aging serum was the top performer in our test, because it reduced brown spots and pores, firmed and softened skin. Consumers rated it fastest to be absorbed, and all agreed that it had a nice texture, and it was the best at brightening and evening skin tone. "My jaw seems lifted and more defined," one raved. "I will definitely purchase," two said. In the lab, it increased skin's firmness by 24%, and digital imaging showed a 7% improvement in both visible brown spots and pores after four weeks of use.
Peptides are amino acids that work as chemical messengers in the body. When it comes to skin care, chains of peptides in anti-wrinkle eye creams stimulate collagen production; this, in turn, decreases the appearance of lines and wrinkles. In this category, Perricone MD Neuropeptide Eye Contour is a powerful anti-aging eye cream for severe loss of elasticity and tone and contains a proprietary blend of neuropeptides.

I guess I must be one of the lucky people because I have never had the issues as far as not getting my bonus items or missing items and it makes me wonder why someone complains about continuously having this issue. How is it that some have NEVER experienced the allure issues and other ALWAYS have a problem? This is honestly the first month where I’ve been confused because I too received the crazy emails.
Vitamin B3, also known as niacinamide, is a skincare essential that’s often forgotten. It can be used to brighten your complexion, reduce inflammation, and keep water from leaving your skin’s protective barrier. Niacinamide helps decrease inflammation of the skin and lower overall redness of the skin, says Dr. Tzu. Research suggests it may also help aid in fading fine lines and wrinkles, amp up your skin’s luminosity, and get rid of dry patches and blotchy areas. Niacinamide has also been found to help prevent and clear up acne, whether it’s hormonal or cystic, research suggests.

This wrinkle cream checked all the boxes on our ingredient wish list, but unfortunately came in the wrong packaging. Unlike squeeze tubes and pump bottles, a jar means that the entire cream is exposed to air, sun, and bacteria every time it’s used. But if you’re sold on the idea of a thick lotion or cream, it’s the closest competitor to the $530 La Prairie.

Yes, the fountain of youth is one myth that many of us wish we could prove true, but the reality is that we cannot turn back the clock. "With the aging process, the ligaments underneath your eyes that hold back fatty tissue begin to weaken, and the tissue can fall forward to form under eye bags," comments Ryan Nakamura, O.D., a VSP network doctor at Natomas Optometry in Sacramento, CA.
If you're often tired, stressed out, or sleep-deprived, then you most likely have had under-eye bags before. Under-eye bags are unsightly, making us look haggard, sick and old. Luckily, there are tons of products on the market to reduce eye bags, and many of them are inexpensive! Here are 5 cheap products that dermatologist swear by to get rid of under-eye bags.
I chose Allure Beauty Box because of how long it lasts. When water hits my face, my makeup doesn't come off. It's really good. When I eat, it doesn't smear on the food. It met all my expectations. However, bright colors aren't appealing to me and I disliked on how some colors were very bright. I prefer low, aesthetic colors that match my outfit. Bright colors stand out too much. Other than that, I like the quality and how unique it is. From all the others, I like the aesthetic colors. It blends in when I'm taking a photo. It's great for going out on parties as well. You should purchase and try it.
However, I did recently called allure customer service to cancel the subscription because I been having too much product building up in my house and I wanna finish them before buying more and more products. When I called them, they offer me a gift box if I am willing to come back another month —any month— and the gift box they sent was exactly like their monthly box !!! And it was for freeee!!! Their customer service was awesome !!!

That’s why we love this Mario Badescu Vital with Collagen and Elastin…it was made especially for men! Stripped away from the floral scents and frilly packaging that is so common in the beauty industry, this collagen cream is a man’s no-nonsense, cut to the chase wrinkle-fighting dream. After all, isn’t it about time that the guys of the world hopped on the train towards healthier, better-looking skin?
Staying hydrated is one key if you're wondering how to get rid of bags under your eyes. When the body is dehydrated, it responds by retaining as much water as it can, thus causing puffiness and under-eye bags. One way to avoid the bags altogether is by staying hydrated. To ensure you're properly hydrated, stick to the 8 by 8 rule: Drink eight ounces of water eight times a day. That adds up to a half gallon, which is the recommended amount of water to consume daily.
"The original one I got was pink, but I've since ordered one in charcoal, so any specks of leftover mascara and eyeliner don't show. Unlike other masks I've tried, the elastic band that goes around your head is also covered in silk, so it's gentler on your hair. It also blocks light to help me sleep — in fact, I can’t sleep without it!” says Dr. Jessica Wu, M.D., a Los Angeles-based dermatologist.
At the most basic level, Retinoids are a class of chemicals that help promote collagen production. Usually applied topically or taken orally, Retinoids and Retinol Creams help to stimulate your body’s natural production of collagen to reverse the signs of aging that often accompany collagen loss. Chemically, Retinoids are chemically related to vitamins (usually Vitamin A), which have been found to promote collagen production.
Under-eye masks or patches directly target your bags with hydrating ingredients, antioxidants and retinol. This pampering treatment reduces inflammation and stimulates collagen growth for refreshed and youthful-looking eyes. It’s also an excellent way to relax after a long day! Follow the instructions on the pack but as a general rule aim for 20 minutes with patches on. After removing you should see immediate results.
I bought the Brickell Anti Aging Cream after receiving a free sample kit. At 47 years old I’ve never thought of taking care of my skin until I looked in the mirror one morning and saw deep furrow wrinkles running across my forehead. Where did they come from? They made me look so damn old!!! I tried Brickell Anti Aging cream and the results were immediate. It tightened and evened my skin almost instantly. It greatly reduced those deep sun weathered wrinkles I noticed on my forehead. After one week the wrinkles were almost completely gone. I don’t feel or look like anywhere close to a guy closing in on 50. If you’re going to take care of your body and overall appearance why neglect your skin? Following the Brickell regimement has made a huge difference.

Also known as periorbital hyperpigmentation, periorbital melanosis and dark circles, under-eye bags may appear as the lower eyelid’s bluish discoloration (vascular type) or brownish to black hyperpigmentation (constitutional type).3 The eyelid skin is the thinnest of all body parts, particularly the lower medial eyelid, which has the lowest dermal to epidermal ratio.4 This is where fat accumulates through time, resulting in the development of bags under the eyes.5

If you are concerned about products drying out your skin, the best way to find out is to try it out – try to get a tester, or check out other users’ reviews. Out of the products, we couldn’t find any products which were drying on your skin, in fact most of them are specifically designed to keep your skin hydrated, but everyone is slightly different – so test it out first.

I decided to try out Allure and I really regret it. I made my subscription purchase on December 31st hoping to get the January box. I was charged twice at their "first-time subscriber" rate. Then a couple days later I was charged the full price of a box on top of that. I emailed the same day I made my order and heard nothing back within 48 hours. I then emailed again. Nothing. Finally I called in. I was informed that one of the charges was refunded (though my bank account still doesn't reflect this). I was also told that of you sign up at the end of the month they will charge you for both that month and the next month.

It is also worth knowing, however, that just because a product contains a simple alcohol, it doesn’t mean it will be drying on your skin – even if it is high up the product list. The product may be rich in emollient ingredients, or fatty alcohols. Products like moisturizers are unlikely to be drying on the skin – because they are designed to impart moisture or help your skin to retain its moisture. Gels designed for reducing acne on the other hand, and similarly toners designed for oily skin, are more likely to have a drying effect on your skin.
I’ve been a subscriber to the Allure Beauty Box for almost a year now! It’s always exciting to open the box and have no idea what’s in it, and I’ve been happy with everything I have received so far! On the downside, shipping can take foreverrrrr, but that’s the only bad thing I can really think of! I’ve had no issues with customer service either. No plans on cancelling this box anytime soon!😊
