Polly, I have subscribed to tons of beauty boxes and at the moment have downsized my subs to just ALLURE and BOXYCHARM. At the moment, I have so much makeup that I think I may soon pause on boxycharm but I can NOT unsubscribe without my ALLURE. I agree, I always find at least a couple of items that are useful and make me break out of my ever expanding box…plus I just love the box!
I am very disheartened by the fact that for the last three or so months my card has been charged at random times throughout the month, I do not receive products until late the next month when promised otherwise, and I have not received any assistance from customer service as they take too long to reply and only send copy and paste replies. I have had a particular issue with allure beauty box and after requesting they reimburse my account or cancel my membership, they went ahead and processed my debit card instead. This company is untrustworthy and even though I try to get reimburse or cancel, it seems to fail each and every time.
Still no tracking for me. I changed my card cause I don’t even know if I want to deal with February or March. I am curious for April though haha. They say they will BILL us when our box SHIPS and that isn’t the case. I wouldn’t care if that were true but I was charged for 2 boxes before I ever even got the first one. And now will be charged a 3rd before I receive the 2nd (last time it took 14 days to get to me after I got the confirmation email)

I’ve been a subscriber to the Allure Beauty Box for almost a year now! It’s always exciting to open the box and have no idea what’s in it, and I’ve been happy with everything I have received so far! On the downside, shipping can take foreverrrrr, but that’s the only bad thing I can really think of! I’ve had no issues with customer service either. No plans on cancelling this box anytime soon!😊
I saw all of the reviews and thought this would be great to buy. I only had a couple lines under and around my eyes so I thought it would work great for that. After 2 months I notice absolutely no difference. I noticed it seems very oily. My face would look so greasy after applying and it felt gross when I woke up in the morning. I did shake it vigorously before each use but it still seemed oily. Maybe I received a bad jar but I doubt it based upon some of the other reviews I read. I will definitely look elsewhere for a different product as this one was simply not worth the money.
Mine supposedly shipped yesterday. I’m so excited for it! I went ahead and ordered it because I had seen several people unbox it on YouTube. The value of the products is unbelievable for January. My theory is that allure had so many unsatisfied customers and cancellations from all the issues last year that they’re going to work really hard to bring those customers back this year. I think their goal is to make things right again and I predict some really good boxes in our future. I could be wrong but let’s hope not. 🤞
Spoke with customer service on 9/14 to update my credit card info. Rep stated that I was all set and I would receive a confirmation email which I did on 9/17 alone with Allure charging my account in the amount of $16.33 for the Sept box. On 9/21 my account was suspended. "Suspended customer's request???" What's that. I called and they said they don't know what happened and don't know why the account said that. Then she told me that I would not receive the Sept box and would have to wait until October. WHAT!!! Your mistake and you charged me for NOTHING!!! DON'T DO IT. SAVE YOURSELF A BIG HEADACHE!!!

It reminds me of how glue from a glue stick feels after it dries on your fingers and begins falling off.
I got scammed by Allure BeatyBox. I ordered the box just to get the full size Sunday Riley CEO serum. Well I never received it. When I called they said that they sent it. I was like okay where is the tracking number and they said they didn’t have one. So there is no actual proof that they sent it. Which, I doubt they did since many others had this problem. They then offered me a $20 face wash as a sub which is basically a bait and switch. No thanks my face wash is elemis. So, they were like okay we’ll have a manager call you. Well that was like 3 or 4 days ago, so I’m pretty sure they blew me off. I’m cancelling today. This box is not worth the stress.

I got offered $10 for 4 months after saying that I wanted to cancel. I signed up in November and I’ve had to email them every single month to get my box. I told them to give me the January box that I’ve paid for and I want to cancel. I got a bunch of emails that also said, “oops” etc. I use to sub with them and never had a problem. I quit because, the box started to look like SephoraPlay/Ipsy. A bunch of little samples. I’m thinking about what to do next. I’m going to comb through my bank statement because, I have a suspicion that I’ve been multiple charged by them. Thanks for listening.

It’s not hard to cancel Allure at all. I think people just aren’t looking hard enough on the website. Go to FAQ’s. It’ll help. Also, my experience with customer service for the past 5 years has been stellar. I dunno. I think it’s important to use diplomacy for best outcomes with these companies. I always start with praise and tell them I know they will offer the best solution to the problem/complaint. It has worked for me.
